  Taking the Program Online

The Professional Master's in Computational Linguistics can be earned completely online. Students also have the option of starting the program online and relocating to the Seattle area to complete the program in class. It is possible for students to complete the program online in as little as one year; however, this timeline is dependent upon both faculty availability and electives chosen by the student, some of which may not be available within a one-year timeframe.

Students begin this "group start" program at the same time and work through coursework together. Courses will be recorded and posted online, allowing students to watch lectures when it is convenient for them and making it possible to review materials at any time.

We encourage students to attend an in-person orientation before the start of the online program. However, we will host a webinar for those who are unable to do so.
